Experience the two most sought-after attractions in Southwest Colorado. Ride on the historic Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad one day and the next make the most of your day at Mesa Verde National Park with a guided tour provided by Mesa Verde Tours.

Maximize your time in the Park as you experience the cultural heritage of Mesa Verde National Park, designated as one of the first World Heritage Sites. Your 8 ½ hour tour begins in Durango with transportation to the park where you will begin a full day of exploration that will provide a comprehensive overview of the park as well as all the highlights. You will be part of a stimulating interpretive tour that will explore spectacular prehistoric sites and cliff dwellings. Your professional guide from Mesa Verde Tours will share current understanding and interpretation of the geography, culture, architecture and archeology of the Ancestral Puebloan people tracing the advancement of their civilization through 700 years of habitation.  You will view and hear about Square Tower House, Sunset House, Mummy House, Sun Temple, Oak Tree House, New Fire House, Fire Temple, Spruce Tree House as well as Cliff Palace, the largest cliff dwelling in North America.

Guests are encouraged to dress in layers appropriate for current weather conditions. Sturdy shoes or boots are recommended. Hat, gloves, and sunscreen are advisable. Be sure to bring a camera and plenty of film or memory cards -- you’ll find fantastic photo opportunities throughout the day!

Your tour includes round trip transportation from Durango to Mesa Verde National Park, all park admission fees, a picnic lunch (sandwich choices include ham, roast beef, turkey or vegetarian) and water throughout the day. The Mesa Verde Tour shuttle will pick you up at 8:20am in front of the Durango Depot and return you to Durango at approximately 6:00pm.

Adult (age 17+) $80.00
Child (age 5-16) $65.00
Child (age 4 & under) no charge when riding on adult lap (does not include lunch but arrangements can be made to provide a lunch)

For Tour Bus Groups! Step-on Guide Service is available for Tour Buses. Fee is $35 per person and includes lunch and all National Park fees.
